Celtic vs Partick Thistle

Midfielder Tom Rogic is out until the new year with a knee problem, while on-loan winger Patrick Roberts has returned to Manchester City for treatment on a hamstring injury.

Thistle boss Alan Archibald has no fresh injury concerns.

Stuart Bannigan, Callum Booth, Mustapha Dumbuya, Christie Elliott and Abdul Osman remain out with long-term issues.

Skipper Osman, however, has been cleared to resume full training on Thursday, although he may need several more weeks to build up his match sharpness before making his first-team return.

Hearts’ 4-0 win at Tynecastle on Sunday ended Celtic’s run of 69 domestic games without defeat.

It means Aberdeen are now two points behind Brendan Rodgers’ side at the top of the Premiership, although the reigning champions still have a game in hand.

But Celtic, who have won once in their last four outings, have still not lost in 43 domestic home games since a defeat by Motherwell in December 2015.

Pre-match views

Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies: “We won’t just need one loss to make us react and want to win the next game. We’ve had the mentality of being the best we can be in every game.

“There’s no question the mentality will be as always, giving everything we can in the game and hopefully a reaction can be reflected in the score-line.

“We’ll be looking to start another winning run.”

Partick Thistle manager Alan Archibald: “It’ll be tough. They’re off the back of a disappointing result, so they’ll be looking for a reaction in from their home fans.

“Hearts were outstanding. The big thing for me was how hard they worked and the pressure they put Celtic under all over the pitch.

“It’s a bit different at Parkhead. With the bigger dimensions of the pitch, it’s a bit easier for them to get out and they feel comfortable at their own pitch.

“It’ll be difficult, but we’ve had a little bit of success there last season. We got a draw and lost one narrowly.
